It is a network base Enterprise Solution that monitors applications communicating over the HTTP, for Spyware & Adware detection and blocking, Blocking network based worms, pop-ups and ad-blocking, privacy and cookie control. The system basically runs on Linux and has a 3 tier architecture consisting of Sensor Manager and Console.

Pushpak

It is a network security product which detects Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDOS). It also communicates with various devices such as Snort, NetProwler, Raptor Firewall etc and display all the alerts coming from those devices into a common form and display it to the user. It also supported session decode capability. Besides it also generated reports such as Attack and Network which could create in HTML and PDF format. The system basically runs on Linux and has a 3 tier architecture consisting of SiteSupervisor, Manager and Console.

Tools used

Various tools were used such as ethereal for capturing packets on the network, hping for attack generation, Bugzilla for bugs and defect tracking management. Also various In-house developed Perl scripts were used for attack simulation.

NetProwler

A dynamic Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that transparently examines network traffic to identify, logs terminate unauthorized user, misuse and abuse of computer systems by internal saboteurs and external hackers. It allows responding to limitless range of possible attacks. It is an enterprise product that implements a client server architecture spanning wide geographical locations. It is a 3 tier architecture and uses Manager, Agent, and Console to scale over an entire enterprise

Tools Used
Various In-house perl scripts were used for attack generation. Net X-Ray was used for packet capturing and Bug Collector Pro was used for Defect Tracking

Product Registration System

This product was to create a web base registration server. The product which was sold needed to be registered for getting it activated. The registration server was responsible to validate the product code and in turn it returned a license key for activating a product Sheriff’s engine was used for generating license keys.

My tasks included testing of complete licensing software from client end to the server and also test various licensing modules. Also tested the license HTML interface

Provide Technical assistance to the junior students in areas like Ms-Office products, UNIX, Sybase, VC++ (4.0), and Internet Related Technologies.
Administered various servers, like Windows NT Terminal Server, Windows NT Server and Unix Server.
Monitored all the servers until shut down, Reported problems and took appropriate actions during crashes or errors

Took daily backup of students data including their project work from their machines and saving them on a Floppy disk and also on the server
